Nielsen Rates Personal-Finance Site Traffic

NU Online News Service, March 20, 2003, 4:57 p.m. EST – The MSN Money, Paypal and Intuit.com Web sites were the personal-finance sites that attracted the biggest home-user audience ratings in February, according to Nielsen/NetRatings Inc., New York.

MSN Money was also the top-rated financial site accessed by consumers while at work, Nielsen reports.

At work, Yahoo!Finance ranked second and Paypal ranked third.

Nielsen also tracks the amount of time users spend on personal-finance sites.

Intuit.com was the top site for home users in February in terms of average time spent per user. The users who reached the site while at home stayed an average of 55 minutes.

The Bank of America site ranked second, at 49 minutes, and the MSN Money site ranked third, at 39 minutes.

The sites that had the longest visits by work users were Bank of America, at 60 minutes; Intuit.com, at 52 minutes; and Yahoo! Finance, at 40 minutes.
