Allstate Hires Chief Financial Officer

NU Online News Service, Jan. 9, 6:59 a.m. – The Allstate Corp., Northbrook, Ill., has hired Dan Hale to be its chief financial officer.

Hale succeeds John Carl, who retired in mid-2002.

Hale has been the chief financial officer of the Promus Hotel Corp., Memphis, Tenn. He also has been the CFO of USF&G Corp., Baltimore; president of the Chase Manhattan Leasing Company, New York; and a managing director at the Kidder Peabody Group, a unit of the General Electric Company, Fairfield, Conn.
