July 22, 2002 — Here are the five best- and worst-performing domestic equity funds with assets of more than $2 billion for the week ended Friday, July 19. The screen is limited to growth, value, and blend funds and excludes sector funds, balanced funds, and funds primarily seeking income.

Stocks plunged last week amid disappointing earnings reports and forecasts. Investigations by regulators added to the slide. The Dow lost 7.66% last week, including a 390.23 point fall on Friday.

All funds in our screen posted losses last week. The average fund fell 6.63%, while the S&P 500 lost 7.99%.
