June 20, 2002 — Turner Investment Partners said bond fund managers James Midanek and John Pak have left the company.

Roger Early, Turner’s chief investment officer for fixed-income investments, and Paul Matlack will continue to oversee three funds that they had run with Midanek and Pak: Turner Funds Core High Quality Fixed Income (THQFX), Turner Funds Sht Duration Fixed Income/I (TSDGX), and Turner Funds Ult Sht Duration Fixed Income/I (TSDOX).

Early and Matlack joined Turner in March. Early previously was a portfolio manager with Rittenhouse Financial Services. Matlack had been a portfolio manager with Delaware Investment Advisers, where the two men had worked together earlier.

A spokesman for Turner did not know Midanek’s and Pak’s future plans.
