NU Online News Service, Feb. 4, 4:25 p.m. – The ING Groep N.V., Amsterdam, says it is moving ahead with plans announced in early 2001 to create a single global brand.

The Dutch financial services company says most of its wholesale businesses, including its employee benefits and corporate financial services units, will adopt the ING brand and lion logo.

But a few units in a few European countries will keep their existing brands after 2002, ING says.

Many ING units in the Americas, Australia and Eastern Europe have already adopted the ING name and logo, ING reports.
