NU Online News Service, Dec. 12, 9:15 a.m. – S1 Corp., Atlanta, and Corillian Corp., Hillsboro, Ore., have settled the patent infringement lawsuit that S1 brought against Corillian in March 2000.

Under the settlement, Corillian will obtain a license from S1 to a patent for a three-tier financial transaction system for supporting communications between customers and financial institution back-end processing systems, the companies say.

The companies did not disclose the terms of the settlement.

S1 provides software products for on-line customer transactions to more than 2,600 banks, credit unions, insurance providers and investment companies.
