GE Financial Names National Sales Leader

NU Online News Service, Nov. 1, 2:03 p.m. – GE Financial Assurance, Lynchburg, Va., has promoted Joan Cleveland to national sales leader for its independent brokerage group.

Cleveland will be in charge of combining the brokerage general agent and affluent marketing services groups.

GE Financial hired Cleveland in July as a vice president with the affluent marketing services group.

Before Cleveland joined GE Financial, she was a vice president with a U.S. unit of the AXA Group, Paris. She has also held sales and marketing jobs at J.J. Schumacher Associates, Los Angeles; Security Life of Denver, Denver; and Van Eck Global, New York.

Cleveland attended California State University at Northridge. She holds the Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Registered Employee Benefits Consultant designations.

GE Financial is a unit of the General Electric Company, Fairfield, Conn.
