Aetna Announces 4-Cent Dividend

NU Online News Service, Sept. 28, 1:15 p.m. – Aetna Inc., Hartford, says its board has declared an annual cash dividend of 4 cents per common share, payable Nov. 30 to shareholders who held its stock Nov. 14.

The company last declared a regular cash dividend Sept. 29, 2000, when it announced a quarterly dividend of 20 cents per share of common stock.

Aetna announced the earlier dividend shortly before it completed the sale of two large units, its financial services and international units, to the ING Groep N.V., Amsterdam.
