NU Online News Service, Aug. 31, 12:35 p.m. – ING Americas, Atlanta, has selected DDB Worldwide, New York, to handle its U.S. advertising and brand marketing.

DDB is a subsidiary of the Omnicom Group Inc., New York.

ING Americas, a subsidiary of ING Groep N.V., Amsterdam, sells life insurance, annuities and other financial services throughout the Americas.

It acquired RealiaStar Financial Corp., Minneapolis, and the financial services arm of Aetna Inc., Hartford, in late 2000.

Jordan McGrath Case & Partners/Euro RSCG, New York, a unit of Le Groupe Havas Advertising, Paris, developed a $20 million ING Americas brand introduction advertising campaign that began in May.

ING said it was pleased with the results of the Jordan McGrath campaign, but it put its account up for review in June.
