The Insurance Regulatory Authority of India has licensed a joint venture that Prudential Financial Inc. is starting with DLF Ltd.
Prudential, Newark, N.J., and DLF, New Delhi, India, hope to open the doors of the venture, DLF Pramerica Life Insurance Co. Ltd., Gurgaon, by Sept. 30, according to DLF, a real estate developer.
DLF and Prudential also are starting an asset management company, DLF Pramerica Asset Managers Private Ltd.
