The Labor Department plans to release its final fiduciary rule on Tuesday at the White House, according to the American Retirement Association.

The ARA said Monday that acting Labor Secretary Julie Su will announce the final regulation in a Treaty Room ceremony at 5 p.m.

The White House Office of Management and Budget concluded its review of Labor’s final fiduciary rule, the Retirement Security Rule, on April 10.

On April 15, industry trade groups pressed Labor to continue to receive public input on its fiduciary rule and not “finalize the rule now.”

In a letter to acting Labor Secretary Julie Su as well as to the Office of Management and Budget, the 11 groups — including the Financial Services Institute, Insured Retirement Institute,  American Council of Life Insurers, National Association of Insurance Financial Advisors and Finseca — state that Labor rushed its rule through and asked Labor and OMB to “stand up for the integrity of the regulatory process and continue the public input process.”
