Sanctuary Wealth says two former wirehouse advisors have joined it after forming  Vincita Investment Partners, a Greensboro, North Carolina-based firm with $700 million in client assets focused on helping wealthy families, executives and business owners in cooperation with estate planning attorneys, tax specialists and banking partners.

Its founders and managing partners are JJ Marus, who spent the past decade at Merrill Lynch and three years at Goldman Sachs, and Lauren Norris, CFP, who was with Merrill since 2015, according to BrokerCheck.

“I am honored that after going through a thorough due diligence process, they will launch their firm on Sanctuary’s Partnered Independence platform, which offers client solutions, revenue levers and growth support that they’ve never had access to before now,” said Sanctuary  President Vince Fertitta, in a statement.

“Both come to Sanctuary with a history of thriving in all aspects of their lives, with JJ participating in the U.S. Olympic trials as a swimmer and Lauren being a former all-American lacrosse player and coach,” Fertitta added.

Sanctuary’s network includes partner firms in 27 states working with about $30 billion in assets.

“We could not be more excited to launch our new firm on Sanctuary’s Partnered Independence platform,” according to Marus. “The firm clearly understands what it takes for transitioning wirehouse advisors like us to succeed, having built a unique model that prioritizes client service and helps their partners enjoy meaningful growth.”

While Marus and Norris left KM & Associates Group at Merrill, six other financial advisors, one investment manager and four other financial professionals remain with the Bank of America team.
