Captrust Financial Advisors has acquired TrustCore Financial Services, an RIA based in Nashville. The RIA includes 16 financial advisors, who work with nearly $2.3 billion of assets owned by individuals, families, endowments and foundations.

“TrustCore is an exciting addition to the Captrust family,” said Rush Benton, senior director of strategic growth for Captrust, in a statement. “[CEO] Gary [Dean] and his team bring decades of industry experience, and we look forward to growing our business in the Nashville area through their expertise in both individual wealth management and services for nonprofits.”

The firm says this deal closed in late 2022 and is its 63rd since 2006. As with other M&As, TrustCore will now use Captrust’s brand. Overall, Captrust oversaw $100 billion in assets under management and some $750 billion in assets under advisement as of Sept. 30, 2022.

“Joining Captrust takes our business to the next level,” Dean said in the statement. “The growth opportunity with Captrust for our entire team is unmatched across the industry. We look forward to tapping into the valuable resources the firm has to offer to make our clients’ experience even better.”
