Transamerica Names an Annuity Distribution Strategist: Personnel Moves

Transamerica has hired Jonathan Cressman to be vice president and managing director for annuities wholesale distribution in the company’s individual solutions division.

The company is a Baltimore-based arm of Aegon.

Cressman was previously  national sales manager for the independent broker-dealer and bank/wirehouse channels at Prudential.

Cressman has a bachelor’s degree from Yale.

Zipari

Zipari — a New York-based health insurance consumer experience platform company — has promoted Matt Case to chief marketing officer.

Case was the company’s vice president of marketing.

Earlier in his career, he worked in sales and marketing at Kaiser Permanente, AIG, Anthem, Welltok and other companies.

Principal

Principal Financial Group has hired Noreen Fierro to be senior vice president, chief compliance officer, and it has hired Humphrey Lee as vice president and head of investor relations.

Fierro succeeds Betsy Happe, who is retiring.

Fierro moved to the Des Moines, Iowa-based insurer from Guardian Life, where she was chief ethics and compliance officer. She has also worked for Prudential Financial, Deloitte, UBS and two law firms.

She has a bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University and a law degree from Seton Hall.

Lee succeeds John Egan, who is taking over as chief financial officer for Principal’s Principal International unit.

He was previously head of life and retirement services equity research at Dowling & Partners.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a master’s degree in business from Carnegie Mellon.

MetLife

MetLife has hired Ecaterina Espinoza to be vice president for solutions engineering at its Data & Analytics unit and Ayo Olayinka to be the unit’s vice president for data governance.

Espinoza is moving to the New York-based insurer from MUFG Securities. Earlier in her career, she worked for Guardian.

Olayinka previously worked in compliance data governance at the Agricultural Bank of China.
