Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America has hired Sophia Khan to be its chief diversity and inclusion officer.

Khan will report to Jasine Jirele, Allianz Life’s CEO.

Khan previously was the vice president for diversity and inclusion at Thomson Reuters.

Earlier in her career, she was vice president for organizational development and diversity at Wells Fargo.

She has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in human resource development from the University of St. Thomas. She is an adjunct MBA professor and guest lecturer at the University of St. Thomas business school.
