Advisor Group Exec Moves to FMG Suite

FMG Suite, a marketing software and services firm for financial advisors and insurance agents, says it has hired industry veteran Susan Theder as both its chief marketing and chief experience officer. Most recently, Theder was CMO of Advisor Group, which gobbled up five broker-dealers from Ladenburg Thalmann last year. 

“We are thrilled to welcome a senior industry leader of Susan’s caliber to FMG Suite,” according to FMG Suite CEO Scott White. “Susan’s expertise and passion for advisor marketing and marketing technology will enable us to expand awareness of our industry-leading capabilities, grow our enterprise footprint, and ultimately improve our customers’ ability to retain, grow and acquire clients.” 

Before joining Advisor Group in 2016, Theder was CMO of Cetera for nearly six years. Prior to that post, she was an executive in segment marketing for BNY Mellon’s Pershing and Fidelity. 

“I’m so excited to join FMG Suite. As a 10-year enterprise customer, I can say first-hand that when financial advisors are provided with access to FMG Suite through an enterprise relationship it is viewed as a significant tool to grow their business and retain clients,” Theder said in a statement. 

“In fact, Advisor Group financial advisors who utilized the platform, private labelled as MyCMO, experienced year-over-year growth rates that were on average 50% higher than non-subscribers,” said the executive, who is a member of the board of directors for Smarsh and ComplySci.

FMG Suite recently launched a mobile app designed to help advisors identify and share timely and informative content with prospects and clients. It also was named a member of ThinkAdvisor’s Class of 2021 LUMINARIES industry recognition program.
