Eagle Life Gets a Head of Sales: Personnel Moves

Eagle Life Insurance Company has hired Bryant Albert to be head of sales.

Eagle Life is a subsidiary of American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company of West Des Moines, Iowa.

Previously Albert was a divisional sales manager at Prudential Financial Inc.

Before going to work for Prudential, he worked for Pioneer Investments and Federated Investors as a mutual fund wholesaler.

Albert has a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University.

Transamerica, Baltimore, has named three new regional vice presidents at its mid-market sales team.

The Aegon N.V. unit has hired Travis Cox to be regional vice president for North Texas and Oklahoma. He previously was managing director for emerging markets as MassMutual Worksite Solutions.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Rhodes College.

Transamerica also has promoted Taylor Harman to regional vice president for Northeastern California and Northern Nevada, from internal wholesaler. Harman has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.

The company has promoted Mitch Ritz to regional vice president for Oregon and Montana. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver. He holds the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist professional designation.

Coherent Group, Hong Hong, has hired Todd Buchanan to lead its U.S. operations. Coherent is an insurance technology company.

Buchanan previously was senior regional vice president at American International Group Inc.’s life and retirement division.

He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, and he also has served in the U.S. Army. While with the Army, he was a field artillery officer.

He also has served on the board of the Tampa Bay Sports Commission.
