Jeffrey Levine, who joined Buckingham Wealth Partners less than a year ago, is now the firm’s chief planning officer.

The CPA/CFP made the move to Buckingham last March, along with industry blogger and expert Michael Kitces, who leads the advisor-focused educational website Kitces.com; both are very active on twitter. Kitces is head of planning strategy for the Buckingham, and Levine earlier served as its director of advanced planning.

“Well… cats out of the bag! Incredibly grateful for the opportunity to help lead Buckingham Wealth Partners’ effort to be the recognized leader in evidenced-based financial planning,” Levine said on LinkedIn and Twitter Tuesday, after Citywire broke the news.

“We’ll miss friends/fam in the Northeast, but fam’s excited for the move to St Louis!” he explained.

Levine aims to relocate to St. Louis this summer from his current base in Long Island with his wife and three children. (Kitces will not be relocating from the East Coast to Missouri.)

A member of Focus Financial Partners since 2007, Buckingham Strategic Wealth and the 150-plus independent advisors that make up Buckingham Strategic Partners collectively managed or administered more than $50 billion of assets as of June 30, 2020.
