Cetera Financial Group has nabbed Pierson Wealth Management, a firm with $122 million in assets under management that specializes in developing and implementing retirement and estate plans for private clients, Cetera said Thursday.

Santa Clarita, California-based PWM is led by Ivy Pierson, its owner and investment advisor representative, who Cetera said brings more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She was affiliated with LPL Financial since 2013, according to her report on the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s BrokerCheck website.

Pierson was also previously affiliated with firms including Morgan Stanley from 2000-2006 and then Woodbury Financial Services from 2006-2010, according to BrokerCheck.

“Pierson’s growth goal is to double her practice size over the next ten years, taking a client-first approach,” according to Cetera.

“Cetera’s brand promise of empowering relationships that go beyond the bottom line and where you’re more than just a number resonates with me and our client-first philosophy,” Pierson said, explaining why she and her firm have become affiliated with Cetera Advisors.

“The portfolio of growth offerings delivered in a unique way will enable us to create a custom growth roadmap while enhancing the service we provide to our clients,” she said in a statement.

What attracted Cetera to the firm was that “Ivy and the Pierson Wealth Management team have a very clear vision for their future and with high-growth goals,” according to John Pierce, head of business development at Cetera.

“Cetera will be delivering the support, technology and team to help,” he said in the announcement, adding: “She’s expressed interest in resources like AdviceWorks to enhance her client experience and has already established a strong bond with leadership.”
