Paul Arrowsmith to Lead LL Global's International Operations: Personnel Moves

LL Global — the parent of LIMRA, LOMA and the Secure Retirement Institute — has hired Paul Arrowsmith to be the president of its international operations.

Arrowsmith will help the Windsor, Connecticut-based organization serve insurers and other financial services companies outside of the United States and Canada.

LL Global now works with financial services companies in 71 countries.

Arrowsmith has a business diploma from Massey University in New Zealand. He is a distinguished fellow of the Singapore Institute of Banking and Finance.

He has worked for companies such as AXA and HBSC in companies like Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.

In related news, LL Global has named Mark Poklar to lead its insurance research unit.

Poklar previously was executive director of consumer insights and competitive intelligence at Humana.

Poklar has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a master’s degree in business from the Wisconsin School of Business.

He got his start in market intelligence at Manpower. He worked at Walmart.com, Thrivent and Financial and other companies before going to work for Humana.

Alera Group, Deerfield, Illinois, a company that sells life insurance and annuities as well employee benefits and property and casualty products, has hired John Mollica to be vice president, business intelligence and transformation.

Mollica previously was head of product and general manager at RiskMatch, a subsidiary of Vertafore.

Mollica has a bachelor’s degree in management from Boston College.

He spent about 10 years at Marsh and two years at XL Group.

The LexisNexis Risk Solutions health care business, which is based in Atlanta, has hired Dave Corbett to be head of sales and client engagement.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions has promoted Jeff Diamond to senior vice president of commercial operations.

Corbett previously led sales at Optum/United Health Group in the provider and clinical solutions markets.

Diamond previously was vice president, product management and operations.

Sureify Labs, San Jose, California, has hired John Pattison and Steve Schmutz to be directors of sales.

Sureify helps life insurers offer customer engagement programs.

Pattison previously was vice president of sales at NarrativeWave, an “internet of things” company.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Occidental College and a master’s degree in business from the University of Southern California.

Early in his career, he was a senior benefit specialist at Unum. He also has been director of enterprise sales at Ebix.

Schmutz previously was head of compliance and a sales executive at Origami Risk. He also has been the founder and chief executive officer of Claimwire.

Schmutz has a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University.

Majesco, Morristown, New Jersey, has hired Joe Aho to be its chief financial officer.

Aho previously was the CFO at Compuware.

Aho has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan at Dearborn and a master’s degree in business from Wayne State University.

Thoma Bravo, a private equity firm, recently acquired Majesco. Aho helped the owners of Compuware sell Compuware to Thoma Bravo in 2014.
