The Palo Alto, California-based insurance distributor says it has filled its last remaining gap in the U.S. map — New York state — by arranging to offer consumers there term life insurance from Allianz Life Insurance Company of New York.

Ladder hopes to get the New York state products on its digital shelves by January.

Ladder has been selling coverage in California since 2017, and in most of the rest of the country since 2018.

Ladder underwrites term life using an automated underwriting process that takes an average of about four minutes.

Ladder gets the coverage it’s offering in most states and the District of Columbia from Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company of Kansas City, Missouri.

The California Department of Insurance says Ladder also has appointments with American General Life Insurance Company, Banner Life Insurance Company and John Hancock Life Insurance Compan (USA).
