Bulking up its Coaches Corner that helps advisors work smarter, the Financial Planning Association is adding Charesse J. Hagan as the technology and operations coach. Hagan, a former financial planner, has her own operations consulting firm, which she launched in 2016. She also is part of the FPA’s NexGen group.
“According to The War on Stress 2019 study, nearly one-third of financial planners feel the ineffective use of technology holds them back from reaching their goals,” said FPA Executive Director and CEO Lauren M. Schadle in a statement. She added that providing technological and operations aid “will help members run more efficient practices, better serve their clients and build their businesses.”
Hagan joins other coaches who cover different areas, such as marketing and cybersecurity. Coaches Corner was launched by the FPA in March 2018 to provide more intense education for members. It not only provides one-on-one coaching, but videos and white papers. For example, Stephanie Bogan a consultant and executive coach at Educe Inc., focuses on the financial planner’s mindset. Her module includes a video presentation on the five ways advisors can gain the mindset to achieve their goals, as well as a three-part white paper and a link to webinars she has created.
