LPL Financial LLC, which is a corporate partner of the U.S. Army Reserve Private Public Partnership (P3) program, has announced that it has partnered with the Army Reserve to provide soldiers with opportunities to pursue careers in financial advice.

Service members can be connected with LPL’s Independent Advisor Institute, a new program that matches experienced advisors with new-to-the-industry advisors to speed up career development while supporting existing advisor growth. LPL is also creating awareness for career opportunities within the firm.

The P3 program helps corporate partners attract, develop and retain talent by providing military service members with access to opportunities that align with the skills they developed during their military career. P3 program representatives are located throughout the country and are dedicated to providing career advancement support to the Army community.

Associate advisors selected for the Independent Advisor Institute have the support not just of LPL but also the managing advisor during their first year as they participate in a structured training and development program. Managing advisors provide mentorship and on-the-job training.

In addition, compensation is subsidized for a year, giving the service member a steady income as he or she builds skills and pursues mandatory licensing that will allow them to become a producing independent financial advisor.

“The P3 partnership is a unique opportunity to support LPL’s efforts to increase diversity and grow our advisor population,” Jeffrey Czajka, LPL vice president of corporate strategy and head of the Independent Advisor Institute, said in a statement.

Czajka added, “Our military and our advisors share a commitment to serve, and we are proud to offer veterans a chance to transition to a new career through our Independent Advisor Institute.”
