Baird says it has added a team from Wells Fargo in Abilene, Texas, and a former Morgan Stanley advisor in Indianapolis. The advisors oversee a total of $610 million and have yearly fees and commissions of $5.5 million.

The Galbraith Group opened a new office in Abilene led by Gerald A. Galbraith and Cathie G. Coleman, CFP. It works with $220 million in assets and has annual production of about $1.5 million.

Galbraith has over 50 years in the business, while Coleman has 13. Galbraith started with Schneider, Bernet and Hickman in 1964 but moved to A.G. Edwards in 1984; the firm was later acquired by Wachovia and Wells Fargo. Coleman started at A.G. Edwards in 1995.

Baird now has six private wealth offices in Texas.

“We are thrilled to welcome these talented professionals to Baird,” according to Mark Stevanovic, director of the North Texas Market for Baird’s Private Wealth Management group. “Baird is excited to grow our footprint in Texas and provide the best financial advice and service to the welcoming community of Abilene.”

Kris Callaway of Indianapolis has managed over $390 million in assets and generates nearly $4 million in annual production. He is 23-year veteran of the business and started at Morgan Stanley in 1995.

LaSalle News

Chicago-based LaSalle St. Securities says it has added two independent financial advisors: Todd Fennick and Matt Powell are from New Castle, Pennsylvania, and Cincinnati, Ohio, respectively, and they each manage roughly $25 million in total client assets.

Fennick joined LaSalle St. from Sterne Agee, while Powell left Broker Dealer Financial Services. “I stuck with my previous firm through a buyout situation. There were some good days, but as the rep total grew, I began to feel as if my business was less and less important to the broker-dealer leadership,” said Fennick, in a statement.

LaSalle St. Securities is an independent hybrid broker-dealer with over $9 billion in assets under management. It works with more than 320 advisors.

“Could we be a much larger firm than we are? Sure. But that’s not our goal. We are interested in growing our business, but only if that means forming long-term partnerships with high-quality advisors,” according to Mark Contey, chief business development officer.
