Members of the Life Insurance Settlement Association elected Jim Maxson chairman last weekend at the association’s annual conference in Orlando, Florida.

Maxson is a partner at Culhane Meadows PLLC in Atlanta.

Maxson understands the perspective of investment funds that buy blocks of life settlement business as well as the perspective of the companies that buy life insurance policies from the consumer. He has represented Luxembourg-based funds in life settlement portfolio acquisitions, according to his Culhane Meadows biography.

LISA members also elected Shari Townsend to be vice chair; Vince Granieri, treasurer; and John McFarland, secretary.
