Advisor Group — comprising FSC Securities Corp., Royal Alliance Associates, SagePoint Financial and Woodbury Financial — said Thursday that it has named Greg Stockett as chief financial officer and Nina McKenna as its chief legal officer and general counsel.

Both will be located in Advisor Group’s Phoenix headquarters and will report directly to Jamie Price, Advisor Group’s president and CEO.

McKenna’s role is a new position for Advisor Group that supports a strategic organizational shift designed to align risk and legal approach in the new fiduciary era.

Stockett fills the role that had been held by Tom Lux, who had agreed to step in as interim CFO until a permanent replacement could be found. Stockett will support Advisor Group’s growth and strategic partnerships as they continue to expand.

“Nina and Greg’s extensive experience in their respective fields gives them a unique ability to navigate the rapidly changing legal and financial landscapes for advisors and their clients,” said Price, in a statement. “They exemplify the high caliber of talented executives who are the driving force of Advisor Group’s reputation as a premier wealth management firm in the independent space.”

Valerie Brown, Advisor Group’s executive chairwoman, added in the statement that “as we support our advisors and their clients in this new fiduciary era, a deep understanding of the strategic nature of risk as well as the support of a strongly capitalized and financially well-run partner is critical in helping them navigate the evolving landscape.”

Stockett and McKenna “each bring a unique set of skills to our organization that will augment our existing expertise in these areas.”

Stockett joins Advisor Group from REDI Global Technologies, a leading multi-asset execution management system used by large broker-dealers and their institutional trading clients, where he held dual roles as chief operations officer and CFO. He earned a B.S. in corporate finance and accounting from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

McKenna previously served as chief legal officer and general counsel at Cetera Financial Group. Earlier roles include senior legal counsel at ING Americas’ Broker-Dealer Group, the law firm of Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal in its corporate and securities group. She earned a B.A. in philosophy at Williams College in Massachusetts and was awarded First Honors at the London School of Economics. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas Law School.
