A nonprofit support group for Affordable Care Act public exchange program enrollers says it is closing down.

Enroll America will end most operations in its headquarters in Washington at the end of April, and it will shut down regional operations in states like Florida and Texas a few months later, according to Anne Filipic, the group’s president.

Enroll America has been operating a Get Covered Locator tool for consumers who need help finding in-person enrollment help, and it has created a library of how-to and research documents for exchange plan enrollers.

Young Invincibles will take over management of the Get Covered Locator tool, and Families USA will house the documents on its site, Filipic says in an announcement of the shutdown.

Filipic says other enrollment groups are now well-equipped to function on their own, and that she believes the main fight is now in the political and policy arena.
