Trying to get someone to change their opinion about something is difficult if not impossible. We all think our own opinion is right.
So instead of saying something to him, start asking him questions. “How do you feel about your children losing two parents if one of you were to die?” To which the reply will be what do you mean? Well when one parent dies and there’s no life insurance, the other parent will often have to work full time to make ends meet, thus taking away the second parent at one of the most traumatic times of a child’s life.
Or you could ask ”Where would you like your family to live if you were to die prematurely? Is government-funded housing an option you’re okay with?” Another question might be “Would you like your wife and family to continue living in the lifestyle you’ve created together?”
