The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards’ recently launched online discussion forum for CFP certification test takers is going gangbusters, with 60,000 individuals already signed up and 3,000 CFP certificant seekers actively engaged in the chat community since its launch on Sept. 7.
The CFP Board Candidate Forum, established by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards and powered by Higher Logic, provides candidates pursuing their CFP marks a chance to interact with other test takers around the country, share experiences, get advice and find moral support.
“This forum has been created to foster those connections and allow individuals to support each other through their journey to certification,” said CFP Board CEO Kevin Keller, in a statement.
CFP Board said that “subject matter experts” will also be available on the forum to respond to candidates’ questions and weigh in on key topics.
Keller noted at the recent Financial Planning Association annual conference in Baltimore that 240 colleges and universities now prepare students to take the CFP exam, adding there are another 130 baccalaureate programs preparing students to be CFPs, with more than half of those programs being housed in business schools.
