Tributary Capital Management, winner of the SMA Advisor of the Year in the small-cap category for its Small-Cap Equity Strategy, has been known to hold some individual stocks for as long as seven or 10 years in some cases.

Portfolio manager Mark Wynegar spoke with ThinkAdvisor’s Bernice Napach at the Envestnet Advisor Summit in May about why they hang on to stocks for that long, the importance of fundamental research and why cheapest isn’t always best.
