Many of the national brokerage firms, large regional brokers and broker support services companies are also on the list, but additions to the list also include Broker Source, Wellthie and Benefitstore, a unit of Benefitfocus.

One of the new WBEs, xTeros, offers a free Web service that helps consumers shop for health coverage based on the plans’ out-of-pocket costs rather than the premiums.
The WBE list includes only WBE registrations for the HealthCare.gov states. States with state-based, state-run exchanges can choose whether or not to work with WBEs. The state-based exchanges that work with WBEs have their own, separate WBE registration processes.
