SMA Manager of the Year Kera Van Valen on Defining 'Shareholder Yield'

The PM on the 2015 SMA Manager of the Year for international or global equity says she looks to diversify “across sectors and countries, but also across our aspirational return of 9%.”

In this video, Kera Van Valen of Epoch says she looks for ADRs of companies that generate sustainable free cash that’s returned to shareholders via dividends, repurchases and debt reduction: “that’s what we call Shareholder Yield.”
