This week in personnel announcements and new hires, Frédéric Ducoulombier gained a new title at ERI Scientific Beta, Merrill Lynch announced several staff additions, Northern Trust welcomed Paul Blundell, Brad Scott moved within U.S. Bank, and Behringer welcomed Rick Golod.
Also, Tompkins joined Cadwalader, Catalyst Funds added six, Marie Swift joined the advisory board at Wealthminder, and Jonathan Botts went to TCW.
Blundell Joins Northern Trust
Northern Trust has announced that Paul Blundell has joined the firm’s international wealth advisory services group as senior vice president, senior international relationship manager. Based in New York, he reports to John Hoffman, head of the greater New York region.
With more than 20 years of banking experience in the U.S. and U.K., Blundell joins from RBC Wealth Management. He began his career in England with NatWest Bank in London, moving to the U.S. in 1995. There he worked with several banks, moving to RBC in 2002 when RBC acquired Barclays’ private banking business, where he was a VP.
ERI Scientific Beta Reorganizes in Asia-Pacific
ERI Scientific Beta has announced that Frédéric Ducoulombier has been named business development director Asia ex-Japan and the Middle East.
Ducoulombier, corporate director of the firm and a member of the executive committee, spent much of his career at EDHEC, a French business school, and more particularly at EDHEC-Risk Institute.
Merrill Lynch Adds Advisor, Associate
Merrill Lynch has announced that Jon Stevens and Phil Stevens have joined its Scranton, Pennsylvania office, the former as a financial advisor and the latter as an investment associate. They will report to Christopher Reber, complex director of the eastern Pennsylvania complex. In addition, Jeff Tompkins and his three-person wealth management team have joined the firm’s Boca Raton, Florida office. Tompkins will report to Matthew Liebman, complex director. Also, Michael Casey was named director of the Nevada/Boise complex. He will report to Tim Fickinger, market executive for the Pacific Northwest region.
Tompkins has more than 33 years in the financial industry, most recently at Deutsche Bank. Earlier, he spent 20 years at Smith Barney. Casey rejoins from Morgan Stanley.
Scott Joins Private Client Reserve in Cincinnati
U.S. Bank has announced that Brad Scott has been named market leader at the Private Client Reserve in Cincinnati.
Formerly market leader in Kansas City, Scott has more than 20 years of experience in wealth management. Behringer Adds Golod
Investment firm Behringer has announced that Rick Golod has joined as chief global strategist.
