At National Underwriter Life & Health, our mission is not only to provide breaking news and in-depth analysis of industry trends and issues, but to also recognize those in the business who are making strides toward moving the industry in a better direction; better in terms of image, better in terms of profit and better in terms of awareness. One way we do that is through the annual National Underwriter Life & Health Industry Elite Awards.

Each June, we feature three to four agents or producers who have excelled in one of four categories: industry awareness, best rising star, community outreach and market innovation. Those who have earned the award are featured in the July issue of NU and on LifeHealthPro.com, and, of course, receive long-time bragging rights.

Choosing a winner is no easy task – and each year gets more difficult as the number of submissions grow. But we can’t complain – it’s heartening to see so many people within the industry striving to make it a better place – for themselves, their colleagues and consumers.
