New Hire Roundup: Wilmington Trust Adds Managers, NJ Office

This week in personnel announcements and new hires, Wilmington Trust added two managers in Delaware and opened a new office in New Jersey, the Private Client Reserve welcomed Kate Phelan and Pilar Pettys, and Loeb & Loeb LLP brought in Diara Holmes and Marcus Owens.

Also, Bradley Bondi joined Cahill, Ann Limberg took a newly created position at Bank of America, and John Radtke joined Advisors Asset Management.

Wilmington Trust Adds Managers, Office

Delaware-based Wilmington Trust has announced the addition of Michele Ahwash and David Ford as senior relationship managers in the integrated family wealth group in Wilmington and the opening of a wealth advisory office in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The Cherry Hill office is led by Jerry Mauro, managing director, and includes Ron Caputo and Blair Talty.

With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Ahwash previously was a relationship manager for ultra-high-net-worth clients at Tiedemann Trust Co. Earlier, she was a trust officer at Bryn Mawr Trust Co. and served as chairwoman of the real estate committee. Before that, she worked at the law offices of Beatty Lincke in Media, Pennsylvania, for 16 years.

Ford also has 30 years of financial industry experience. Most recently, he was principal at the business consulting firm Strategy House Inc. Previously, he was a partner with Siegfried Group LLP, and was a manager at Belfint, Lyons & Shuman.

Mauro has 19 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining in 2001, he spent 20 years as a senior executive at a Fortune 100 company. Caputo was a senior trust advisor with PNC Bank for 22 years; previously, he was a trust officer with Burlington County Trust Co. for 14 years. Before joining, Talty was a senior wealth planner with PNC Bank. Earlier, he practiced law in the trusts and estates practice groups at Brown & Connery and at Morgan Lewis.

Wilmington Trust has three other New Jersey offices, in Mount Laurel, Princeton and Saddlebrook.

Private Client Reserve Adds 2

U.S. Bank has announced that Kate Phelan has been named trust relationship manager for the Private Client Reserve in greater Los Angeles, including Orange County and Santa Barbara, and Pilar Pettys has been named vice president, wealth management advisor for the Private Client Reserve in Los Angeles.

Prior to joining, Phelan was an estate planning and trust administration attorney in the Phoenix metro area. Pettys has more than 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry; prior to joining, she was a vice president, relationship manager for HNW clients with Comerica Bank.

Holmes, Owens Join Loeb & Loeb

Loeb & Loeb LLP has announced that Diara Holmes and Marcus Owens have joined as partners in the firm’s charitable giving and tax-exempt organizations practice in the Washington office.

The two previously practiced together for over a decade at Caplin & Drysdale. Owens was formerly director of the IRS exempt organizations division. Bondi Joins Cahill

Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP announced that Bradley Bondi has joined as as a partner in the litigation practice group and as a leader of its securities enforcement and regulatory practices. He is based in Washington and New York.

Bondi formerly served as a member of the executive staff of the Securities and Exchage Commission as counsel to two commissioners for enforcement actions and regulatory rulemaking. While there, he was detailed to the financial crisis inquiry commission and briefly served on detail as a special assistant U.S. attorney.

Limberg to Head Philanthropy, Family Office at BofA’s US Trust

Bank of America announced that Ann Limberg has been named head of philanthropic solutions and the family office at U.S. Trust, a newly created position.

Limberg has been at Bank of America since 2004. Previous roles include managing director and northeast division executive for U.S. Trust and regional executive. She also served as New Jersey state president for Bank of America. Her career also includes senior leadership positions with Fleet Boston Financial, NatWest and Citibank.

Radtke Joins Advisors Asset Management

Advisors Asset Management has announced that John Radtke has joined as executive vice president of capital markets and capital market sales.

Prior to joining, Radtke was CEO of Chicago-based Incapital LLC for nearly 10 years. Earlier, he served as an EVP and trading mManager at First Tennessee Bank, and as an EVP at Countrywide Financial. He was also a managing director at Bankers Trust and worked in LaSalle Bank’s broker-dealer services division.
