New products and changes introduced over the last week include the switch of a First Trust fund’s listing to NASDAQ and the launch of an equity unit trust by Incapital and Nuveen.

Also, Main Street Financial Management announced the launch of Main St. Advisor and the Main St. Advisor app.

Here are the latest developments of interest to advisors:

1) Incapital, Nuveen Announce Launch of Equity Unit Trust

Incapital and Nuveen Asset Management have announced the launch of an equity unit trust based on the 2015 predictions of Nuveen’s Bob Doll.

The Nuveen 2015 Equity Outlook Portfolio is designed to offer the potential for capital appreciation for investors willing to accept associated equity market risks and investment opportunities not fully reflected in today’s stock market valuations.

2) First Trust Moves Fund to Nasdaq

First Trust has moved its First Trust Value Line Equity Allocation Index Fund (FVI) to Nasdaq. The fund’s new investment objective will seek investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield (before the fund’s fees and expenses) of the Nasdaq AlphaDEX Total U.S. Market Index. The new fund will be referred to as the First Trust Total US Market AlphaDEX ETF (TUSA).

TUSA is designed to objectively identify and select stocks across market capitalizations (including large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap companies) that exhibit growth and value factors and appear to have the greatest potential for capital appreciation. It is a modified equal-dollar weighted index comprised of U.S. exchange-listed securities of companies with capital appreciation potential.

3) Main Street Financial Launches Software, App

Main Street Financial has announced the launch of Main St. Advisor, a mix of digital tools, Web accessibility and human-to-human advice, and its associated app.

The Main St. Advisor platform is supported by the app in its overall objective of making investment management services available to anyone, regardless of the amount of their accumulated savings and investments. The free app aims to provide them with guidance that was traditionally reserved for the high-net-worth, while providing them connectivity to Main St. Advisor should they want to connect with a professional investment advisor.
