Raymond James (RJF) said Thursday that it recruited a veteran advisor from UBS Financial Services (UBS) to join its operations in Pennsylvania.

Joel Feldman comes on board in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. While with UBS, he managed roughly $188 million in assets and had annual production of about $1.3 million.

“The culture at Raymond James attracted us most to the firm,” said Feldman, in a statement. “I looked at several firms, but the value the firm places on putting clients first and the freedom given to advisors were what resonated with us and ultimately fueled our decision to join Raymond James.”

Feldman has been an advisor since 1982, when he joined Tucker Anthony in Boston. In 1997, he moved to UBS. The advisor has traveled throughout Europe and Asia and works with clients to build globally focused portfolios.

(Earlier in the week, Raymond James recruited Patrick Yates in Louisville from UBS, where he spent 12 years, managed more than $120 million in client assets and had annual production of $1.1 million.)

Other Recruiting News

Stratos Wealth Partners, an independent hybrid RIA affiliated with LPL Financial (LPLA), said Tuesday that two advisors joined its operations near Columbus, Ohio: Chad Tom and Wayne Wycoff.

“Whether they are looking for investment advice, financial planning solutions, or preparing for retirement, we are confident that our affiliation with Stratos Wealth Partners will allow us to facilitate the complete financial needs of our clients going forward,” Tom said in a press release.

The pair was previously affiliated with Huntington National Bank. They are now partners of Stratos and will work out of their office in Zanesville, Ohio.

“After a couple of our initial conversations with representatives from the management team, it became very clear that Stratos Wealth Partners was the right fit for our practice,” Wycoff added, in the release.

Stratos is based in Beachwood, Ohio. It added close to 30 advisors to its network in 2014, to bring its total advisor count to over 180. In addition to the new office in Zanesville, the firm has also recently established a presence in Asheboro, North Carolina; Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Gulfport, Mississippi, Hartford, Connecticut; and Scottsdale, Arizona.

The group manages over $2.2 billion in advisory assets and has, through LPL Financial, $3.8 billion in brokerage and third-party assets for a total of $6 billion in assets as of Dec. 31.
