Have you ever wondered if the state in which you live is more or less healthy than the rest of the Union? Well, now you can. 

Thanks to this fantastic, interactive graphic from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Health Informatics and Health Information Management team, you can not only see which 10 states are the healthiest in the land, but you can also drill down and see where and how they score so well.

Some states have been healthier than others for decades, if not centuries. One of the questions would-be health reformers have asked, time and time again, is, “Why can’t we help the people in those unhealthy states catch up with the people in the healthy states?”
