Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) programs and coverage mandates may be causing problems for a significant percentage of Democrats.
Gallup found when it polled U.S. adults ages 18 and older that the percentage of participants who say the law has had a negative effect on themselves and their families has increased to 27 percent, up from 24 percent in May.
For participants who identified themselves as Democrats, the percentage who say PPACA has hurt them or their families personally jumped to 15 percent, from 6 percent in May.
Over that same period, the percentage of participants who say PPACA caused problems for them personally fell to 40 percent, from 41 percent, for Republicans, and rose to 27 percent, from 26 percent, for independents.
