This week in personnel announcements and new hires, SWIFT welcomed Christopher Johnson and Fedra Ware; U.S. Bancorp Investments announced that it has hired Mike Quimby; New York Private Trust Co. added Gregory Rosenblum; Zach Rudisill became tax counsel for Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio; and Eduardo Jauregui joined Mercer.
Also, Altegris welcomed Katherine Paulson; the Hedge Fund Association named Mark McGoldrick and Greg de Spoelberch regional co-directors of the New York chapter; Rocaton added Diane Improta; and AdvisoryWorld opened a new office.
Hedge Fund Association Names Regional Co-Directors
Mark McGoldrick, managing director of Concept Capital Markets, and Greg de Spoelberch, director of marketing and operations at Opalesque, have been named regional co-directors of the New York chapter of the Hedge Fund Association.
McGoldrick has been a managing director at Concept Capital Markets since August 2011 following the firm’s acquisition of Alaris Trading Partners, an introducing brokerage he founded in February 2006. Earlier in his career, he worked at UBS Securities in prime brokerage.
De Spoelberch has been with Opalesque since 2009, initially as head of product development until 2011, when he was appointed director of marketing and operations. He also serves as producer of Opalesque TV.
Johnson, Ware Join SWIFT
SWIFT announced that Christopher Johnson and Fedra Ware have joined in the newly created positions of practice leads, compliance services, in the Americas. Johnson will work out of SWIFT Americas’ headquarters in New York, while Ware will work out of the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.
Johnson joins from BankersAccuity. Previously, he held positions with Dow Jones & Co. and MarketGrader.com.
Ware joins after a 12-year stint at the Florida International Bankers Association.
U.S. Bancorp Investments Welcomes Quimby
U.S. Bancorp Investments has announced that Mike Quimby has joined as central regional manager in its community markets division.
Quimby has 28 years of wealth management experience. He joins from Wells Fargo Advisors, where he was a regional brokerage manager in Charlotte, N.C., and earlier was a regional brokerage manager for for the greater Colorado region.
Rosenblum Goes to New York Private Trust Co.
New York Private Trust Co. has added Gregory Rosenblum as chief compliance officer. In this new position, he will report to CEO Irvin Leonard.
Rosenblum, with three decades of experience in the banking and financial services industries, was previously an asset management regulator for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in the Denver field office. He entered the field of private wealth management in 2006 after joining Mellon Private Wealth Management in Denver.
