Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan has named Tiffany Albert to be the president of its LifeSecure Insurance Company long-term care insurance (LTCI) unit.

Albert succeeds Lisa Wendt, who has retired.

LifeSecure wants to expand its LTCI business and develop other new products, Albert said in a statement.

Albert has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. She previously was director of external sales distribution and strategic sales at Michigan Blue.

In another LTCI personnel move, CNA Financial Corp. has named Al Miralles to be president of long-term care.

Miralles will report to Craig Mense, CNA’s chief financial officer.

Miralles has been CNA’s senior vice president for investments and treasury.
