Nevada’s state-based public exchange has paid contractors about $14 million and could end up paying them another $67 million.

The staff of the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange included a vendor contract in a fiscal and operational report presented at the latest board meeting.

The exchange owes the most money – $61 million – to Xerox. The exchange has agreed to pay Xerox about $72 million to design and run its enrollment website and contact center, after already shelling out about $11 million.

The contract is set to run from Aug. 14, 2012, through Dec. 31, 2016. The exchange also has paid about $836,000 to Public Consulting Group, a firm that has two Silver State exchange contracts with a total value of about $2 million.

One Public Consultant Group contract, which runs from Aug. 17, 2012, through Jan. 31, 2014, is for systems verification and validation. The other contract, which runs from Nov. 13, 2012, through Dec. 31, 2014, is an actuarial consulting contract.

Milliman has another exchange actuarial consultant contract, which has a total value of $500,000, runs from Nov. 13, 2012, through Dec. 31, 2014. The exchange has paid $70,360 on that contract.

CSG Government Solutions has yet another actuarial consulting contract, which runs from Nov. 13, 2012, through Dec. 31, 2014. The exchange still has a $500,000 balance remaining on that contract.

KPS3 Inc., a marketing firm, has a $6 million exchange marketing contract, which runs from Jan. 8, 2013, through March 31, 2014, and has received $2.5 million in payments.
