Marshall Abbott is the Chief Executive Officer of ILS and oversees corporate management, including new strategic initiatives and business development. Prior to ILS, Abbott co-founded and was first CEO of Connect-Ed, acquired by Blackboard Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBB) in 2007.
Marshall’s area of expertise is identifying niche markets primed for innovation and executing vision into business reality. His experience includes the creation of a regional secondary market mortgage origination platform for both one-off and pooled mortgages to institutional investors. He also structured among the earlier large scale global investment bank FDI’s in India, a 5 star hospitality and mixed use project currently operating in Bangalore. Marshall holds a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD/MBA from Columbia University.
