Big measles outbreak worries federal health officials

This year the country has experienced eight measles outbreaks and 159 individual cases. The average number of individuals infected during a single year is 60. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released the statistics today. This year serves as a reminder that the disease, which was eradicated from the U.S. in 2000, can still easily be contracted abroad and spread at home.
