The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI) is getting ready for the 13th annual Long-Term Care Awareness Month campaign.

The campaign will take place in November.

AALTCI said it will be running a print advertising insert in Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine for the fifth straight year.

This year, the insert sponsors will be John Hancock, a unit of Manulife Financial Corp., and Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company.

Last year, the lead sponsors were John Hancock and Genworth Financial Inc.

The new insert will include a list of “four quick tips on long-term care planning.”

In the insert, AALTCI will point out that insurers made $6.6 billion in private long-term care insurance (LTCI) benefits payments in 2012, according to Jesse Slome, AALTCI’s executive director.
