Kentucky exchange reaches out to brokers

Except for agents employed directly by a participating issuer, agents who participate must have appointments with at least two exchange plan issuers.

In other exchange news:

• The DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority Executive Board has approved grants for 35 organizations that will provide in-person help for individuals, families and small groups using the District of Columbia’s exchange program. The organizers will use $6.4 in funding to support about 150 outreach workers this year and in 2014, officials said.
• The Washington Healthplanfinder is advertising an opening for a reconciliation specialist who could earn $55,000 to $65,000 per year. The reconciliation specialist is supposed to understand how reconciliation processing works in government health program eligibility determination programs. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge and understanding of the health care industry.
