The death of populism

Have populist politicians gone the way of the dodo bird? While many in both of our fiercely partisan camps insist they are fighting for the middle class it is becoming increasingly apparent they are fighting each other only. Their misguided policies tend to benefit the extremes on both sides of the socioeconomic ladder leaving those of us in the middle struggling to keep our feet on the rungs.
