Dollar coin advocates renew push to replace dollar bill

It all comes down to how much it costs to print a dollar bill versus how much it costs to mint a coin. The GAO says it will save millions of dollars a year that could be put toward more useful endeavors. Foreign countries have experimented with scrapping lower denomination bills with coins as of late but are Americans really ready for it?
