401(k) letters could expose the worst retirement plans

Ian Ayres, a professor at Yale, has done some studying of his own on how much employees are being overcharged in their retirement plans. Ayres has sent letters to some employers regarding their 401(k) plan, but he has not disclosed publically which employers received letters, the plans he looked at or what he ultimately discovered. He says the results won’t be released until 2014.
