Genworth introduces indexed insurance research source

Genworth has launched The Index Institute, an online resource for producers looking for information on indexed life insurance and indexed annuities.

In webinar announcing the new virtual tool earlier this week, Charlie Gipple, Genworth’s national director of Index Products, said there is a “lack of understanding” among advisors regarding how indexed insurance products work. Once agents understand the product, they can sell more, he noted.

Before launching The Index Institute, Genworth surveyed its distribution partners as well as consumers, Gipple said. The portal contains market data, product information and sales ideas.

Dr. Eric Studley, pictured, has been named president of the executive committee of Guardian Life Insurance’s Leaders Club, a committee of 19 leading Guardian agents.

Studley, D.D.S, is the founder of Eric S. Studley & Associates Inc. in Huntington Station, N.Y. He specializes in providing insurance planning to the health-care industry and has consistently been the top provider of Guardian disability insurance nationally. In addition, Studley is a full-time associate clinical professor at New York University College of Dentistry and G.P. Director in the Department of Cariology and Comprehensive Care

As president of the executive committee, Studley is now the highest ranking representative for Guardian’s more than 3,500-member national sales force. During his year-long tenure, he will work with the other executive committee members and Guardian’s senior leadership to provide advice and input from the field force on the company’s products and services.

Retirement Income Network, also known as RIN Marketing, a digital marketing organization for retirement advisors, has joined the National Association for Fixed Annuities (NAFA). NAFA’s purpose is to educate the public on fixed income and deferred annuities.
